Where can I download Codesys?
Weintek’s R&D has validated CODESYS IDE v3.5.15.50 and related drivers for use with Weintek’s CODESYS-equipped HMIs or the cMT-CTRL-01. To download, please download CODESYS (Link). Then log in to our Weintek Forum page, and install Weintek’s CODESYS package (Link). After that you can review a short tutorial to create your first CODESYS application (Link).
Can I remove Weintek’s Codesys after activation?
On applicable cMT-X models it is possible to effectively disable CODESYS after activation. However, legacy HMIs do not have this capability.
Can I create my Codesys project within EasyBuilder Pro?
No, you will need to use the Codesys IDE (see above) to create your Codeys project. The HMI can be programmed for visualization using EasyBuilder Pro. Note: Weintek’s CODESYS can only access Ethernet LAN-1 and CANBus port (if a CANBus port is embedded).
Can a CODESYS-activated HMI still use EasyAccess 2.0?
Yes, an HMI with activated CODESYS can still use our EasyAccess 2.0 remote access service. To use this service the HMI must be connected to the internet via LAN 2 as in the image below
Can an HMI with CODESYS connect to devices in EasyBuilder Pro?
Yes, an HMI with CODESYS activated can still communicate with PLCs using any of the 400+ drivers available in EasyBuilder Pro—except for CAN bus on certain models. How do I connect to Weintek’s Codesys?
Codesys has complete control over LAN-1, please make sure that your PC is connected to LAN-1 or that you have “Codesys Login” enabled on the HMI.
