Yes, an HMI with CODESYS activated can still communicate with PLCs using any of the 400+ drivers available in EasyBuilder Pro—except for CAN bus on certain models. Once CODESYS is activated, it takes control of the CAN bus port. However, RS-232 and RS-485 ports remain available, and Ethernet-based PLCs can still be accessed via LAN 2, since LAN 1 is reserved for CODESYS.
